CULTIVATING THE GOOD LIFE, JUNE FLOWERS IN OUR GARDENS

CURRY COLORED LILIES
CURRY COLORED LILIES BLOOMING IN JUNE

On a recent evening , while hanging out with my wife in the vegetable garden, I overheard a phone conversation she was having with a friend about how lame it is that the local garden club has their garden tours in June. “Everybody knows that July is a much more interesting month in the garden.” All the while, I’m looking around thinking “The June garden is just fine. Here is a representative sampling of the flowers that we have been enjoying recently:

THE SAGE QUADRANT IN THE HERB GARDEN
SAGE AND CHIVES IN BLOOM
THE ROSE GARDEN
THE ROSE GARDEN
PURPLE BAPTISIA
WHITE BAPTISIA
YARROW
WHITE PEONY

I love June on so many levels; flowers, vegetables, mild weather, few insects, long days and local strawberries.

All the best,

Greg Garnache
